The area
Beaches, mountains and wildlife on the North Coast 500
Gairloch sits where the mountains of Torridon meet the sea. Within a short drive are sandy beaches, Inverewe Garden, Loch Maree and some of the best hill walking in Scotland. Out on the water, look for seals, porpoises and, in summer, minke whales.
